Steven Shattuck is trying to find out. About a year ago Bloomerang, a company which provides donor management software and where Steven is the VP of Marketing, did their first $5 donor challenge. The premise is simple. Send a $5 donation to a lot of charities in a select city and then grade them on how well they communicate with the donor after the donation.
